FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT

This year, Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 23rd February to 8th March.  We have a few activities lined up to raise awareness throughout the school.  The children are currently creating a Fairtrade Wall at the entrance to our school base.  The children have been asked to think about what Fairtrade means to them, and draw something on the brick to represent this.

Our Fairtrade Committee are looking forward to speaking to the school at assembly on the 27th February, and to show a special film 'My Fairtrade Adventure'.  The theme for this year's Fortnight, is Chocolate - and where our favourite treat comes from.  We are also trying to spread the message that Fairtrade should be the normality rather than something we only think about 2 weeks a year.

We will be holding a special Fairtrade Tuck shop on Tuesday 3rd March.  The Fairtrade Committee will send out more information about it next week.  We try to be healthy at Mossvale Primary, but this is a special tuck shop to support our local Fairtrade shop, Rainbow Turtle.
